[twitter]YYC Burger Week is on at 30 restaurants across Calgary raising money for Made by Momma, The Austism and Aspergers Friendship Society of Calgary, and Canadian Mental Health Association. The idea is simple: get out, have some burgers, vote for your fave, and raise some money for charity.

It was a wonderful day to visit Diner Deluxe on Edmonton Trail. It was McHappy Day, another day of burgers and charity, but this time I decided to drop my feasting philanthropy on a local joint.

The Diner Deluxe #YYCBurgerWeek offering is a House Ground Sirloin Brisket Burger topped with foie gras truffled terrine, a sunnyside egg, and thick cut double smoked bacon.

Rich. Greasy. Messy. Expensive. Delicious. Worth it.
