Zacharie at Calgary Stampede

[twitter]It’s Stampede season and I love it. The hats, the plaid. The food. The fake little moustaches.

It’s also the end of another school year and celebrations must be had. No, there are no graduations for the boys, they’re only done Kindergarten and Grade 2, but still we need to celebrate.

Our choice for the end of the year was South St. Burger. Burgers and fries and shakes is about as Calgary and Stampede as you can get and South St. Burger has a new Rodeo Burger I wanted to try.

Once again I’ll be on the panel taste testing the best new food on the Calgary Stampede Midway for this season, and I need to get in a little pre-game training.

Inspired by the Calgary Stampede and summer rodeo season, the Rodeo Burger is topped with Monterrey Jack cheese, Onion Ring Lassos, Dijon Horseradish, BBQ Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato and a Pickle.

It’s Stampede Midway good too. The only thing it’s missing is a stick.

And here comes the Stampede connection: grab the Rodeo Burger before July 9, 2015 and enter a draw to win VIP tickets to the Calgary Stampede finals on July 12, 2015. That’s what it’s all about, right there. Cowboy up, burger up, get on a fake moustache, and hang at the rodeo.

The Rodeo Burger is exclusive to Calgary South St. Burger locations at CrossIron Mills, Beacon Hill, and 4889 130th Ave SE until August 31, 2015.

The Rodeo Burger is available in a 4 oz ($6.85 Solo/$11.50 combo) or 6 oz patty ($8.85 Solo/$13.50 Combo) and can also be made as a veggie burger ($8.85 Solo/$13.50 Combo).
