She was wooed by the fact that I had called her on my way to visit my grandmother. Hours later we were playing internet travel agent to book a whirlwind trip to Montreal to watch France and Italy in the World Cup Final.
Three years ago today, at Ferguson Point in Stanley Park, I married that girl.
I take you to be my friend, my love, the mother of my children, and my wife.
All that I am, and all that I have, I offer to you.
I promise to cherish and respect you. To care and protect you. To comfort and encourage you.
I will laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together.
I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward, as long as we both shall live.
I am proud to marry you on this day. I choo choo choose you.
I promise to give you the best of myself and to ask of you no more than you can give.
I promise to accept you the way you are.
The third anniversary is represented by leather. After a few years, leather has a few nicks and scratches, but it is still durable, strong, and resilient. That’s pretty much where we are.
Happy Anniversary, bebe.
