2020 was a year to get outside and explore.
According to a 2020 year end email AllTrails sent to users, we traveled over 178 million miles while taking more than 15 million walks, hikes, and treks in 2020. The peak of activity was in late August.
With lockdown orders to stay as close to home as possible, big vacations were out the window and people wandered their own backyard and got outside. As a worldwide hiking community AllTrails users explored 128,485 total trails in 224 countries and territories.
Record numbers of visitors prowled through Alberta’s mountain parks in 2020 and, according to AllTrails these were the most popular hikes in Alberta.
