Could you do it? Jump fully into the edge of a raging waterfall plunging more than 100m to the canyon floor below?

That’s the bet placed before travelers to Zimbabwe and Zambia at The Devil’s Pool, a little area of refuge on the edge of the Victoria Falls. During dry season the Zambesi River fills the pool just enough where you can swim to the edge of the falls.

If you’re brave enough, you can even lie on your back with your arms outstretched over the edge.

With a lower water flow in dry season, a rock wall just below the surface creates a small tide pool, The Devil’s Pool, where brave travelers, on the urging of their guides, jump in.

While many people do it safely, some have slipped over the edge.

Could you do it? Could you jump in to the Devil’s Pool at Victoria Falls?
