Spring on the prairies is never predictable.
Last year we had temps in the 20s in April, this year we’re struggling to get rid of the snow. With that delayed greening of the grass and bursting of blossoms, I’m seeking indoor ways to celebrate spring.
Charlie and I already have an indoor garden growing up a storm in our basement, and after a recent visit to CF Chinook Centre in Calgary we also discovered an imaginative glowing garden and a gorgeous cherry blossom tree already in full bloom.
Charlie and Zacharie have discovered an old camera in my office this week and they are having fun taking pictures everywhere we go. As we approached the upper railing of centre court, the Garden of Light caught their eye and Charlie exclaimed “I want to go down there!” So we took a spring photowalk, in the mall.
Here are some of the pictures:
If we can’t celebrate blasts of fresh spring colours outside, we can have a hello spring moment inside. Right?
This post is sponsored by CF Chinook Centre.
Use the touch pads located at the Garden to start a beautiful and colourful light show You can also use #CFHelloSpring to start the light show, and of course share your selfies and images of the garden The Garden of Light also includes a Cherry Blossom Tree, located in the new wing of the mall, across from Urban Behaviour.
